Little People’s Tori Roloff reveals her ‘discouraging’ new career move after couple’s decision to ‘quit’ reality show

The couple was coming up with their pits and peaks for the week, more commonly known as highs and lows.

Tori shared her pit, which was how difficult being a substitute teacher is.

“Oh, honestly, my pit – this is kind of a random one – so I taught for almost six years and I was in my own classroom and I loved what I did.

“I had great classroom management, and I thought I was a really great teacher.”

She then revealed: “I subbed a couple of days this year, and I realized I am not as good as I thought I was.”

Zach quickly came to his wife’s defense and asked her what she meant.

Tori continued: “It was hard to sub, I will throw my hands up and be like, subs are amazing.

“That’s a really difficult job, and that was kind of discouraging for me because I thought I was going to be like, ‘Oh, this is going to be easy, it’s going to be so great,’ and it was not as easy as I thought.”

SUB SUPPORT

Listeners on YouTube ran to the comment section to show support for the former teacher.

One said: “Love this! But did I miss an announcement? Have you left LPBW? You spoke of it in the past tense.”

“Tori! Don’t give yourself so much stress about subbing. Kids and teaching are DIFFERENT now than it was years ago.

“The pandemic had really changed the face of education for the worst,” added another.

A third wrote: “Subbing is NOTHING like teaching. When you had your own classroom you had your own rules and expectations.

“Subbing is really hard. Please don’t give up. I really enjoyed your first episode. Please do a Q and A.”

A fan wrote: “Yes on subbing lol It’s so hard!

“I was in administration, and did subbing after retirement and have a whole new appreciation for substitutes”

RAISING HEIGHTS

While potentially stepping away from their family’s reality television show, Tori and Zach have started their own project.

On Tuesday, they revealed that they will be starting their own podcast.

The LPBW stars shared a clip on Tori’s Instagram Story to promote their new business venture.

In the video, Tori said: “We’re excited to share things about our life that we’re truly passionate about.

“We’re excited to share in our own way. We’re excited to take you along still on parenting moments, life moments, relationship moments, but tell it from our perspective.”

Their first episode called Our Real Love Story came out on Thursday, February 8.

The show was made available on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts according to the show’s Instagram page.
