Little People’s Matt Roloff in talks to sell farm to friend as he’s desperate to unload property after months on market

MATT Roloff is in talks to sell a large portion of the family farm to a close friend, as he’s ‘desperate’ to unload the property after months on the market.

The Little People, Big World patriarch listed the land for sale asking for $4million in 2022 but slashed the price last year to $3.4million, according to online listings.

Although it appeared to come on and off the market, a source told The U.S. Sun it is still for sale.

“He’s 110% still selling it and has been having private conversations with a friend about them purchasing it,” the insider revealed.

“They previously rented the big house out on Airbnb and it went well, but Matt and Caryn are keen to just get it gone and downsize a bit.”

When it first went on the market, Matt shared a photo on Instagram, captioning the snap: “Well the cats out of the bag. I want to make sure you all hear the big news directly from me.

“All of @rolofffarms has brought me and our family great joy for the past 30+ years!

“Today 16 acres of the farms 109 acres go up for sale. including our original family home and bright red barn.

“It’s a tiny bit scary but mostly exciting. It’s time to move toward the next season of life.”

He signed the message: “Soldiering on, Matt Roloff.”

While the lot for sale is only a fraction of the total owned land, the 16 acres offer enough unique features to be considered its own theme park.

The main house spans about 5,400 square feet and has plenty of land where his children with ex Amy Roloff used to play when they were growing up.

Matt, 62, has been in a nasty feud with his twin sons, Zach and Jeremy, as they were unable to come to a financial agreement over the selling of the farm.

He rented out the main house after briefly pulling it off the market, but is keen to sell it once again.

The source told The U.S. Sun: “A lot of things are changing at the moment and they have so much coming up with moving into their dream house and planning their wedding for this year.”

The insider said invitations haven’t been sent out yet and the date and venue are yet to be decided, despite the fact they initially wanted to tie the knot in May.

“Caryn wants to get her own house sold and fully move onto the farm before they finalize anything, but it will be a small wedding,” the source added.

HOUSE SALE

Matt and Caryn got engaged last April and she recently put her Portland, Oregon home on the market for $540,000.

Her 1,459 square-foot home in Portland has three bedrooms and three bathrooms and went on the market this week.

The online listing describes the cozy abode as a: “Nicely updated home in Rock Creek neighborhood, adjacent to the golf course on a quiet cul-de-sac.”

Matt and Caryn, who have been dating since 2017, are still keen to travel back and forth between Oregon and Surprise, Arizona, where they already own a $375,000 home.

Her son said they were living in a double-wide trailer on his 106-acre family farm amid their home construction.

It was revealed in December, that Matt’s new building on the farm is finally complete after he spent all last year on the expensive project.

Matt began construction back in March 2023 and credited his youngest son Jacob for helping him with the exhaustive project.
